"Recently we adopted a 2 year old dog from Rogers Rescues.  Walking him sometimes proved to be a challenge as he was reactive when passing other dogs.  We tried to correct the behavior but were not getting good results.  We knew that John Alex and Melissa were volunteers with Rogers Rescues so we went to them for advice and guidance.  We had some lessons and the behavior started to improve.  We were going on vacation and decided to take advantage of the K9 Elements Board and Train Program.  After two weeks there were dramatic improvements in our dogs leash manners as well as his reactivity.  Thanks to the training program of K9 Elements, it is a pleasure to go for a walk with our dog.  We've also used K9 Elements for dog sitting and boarding.  Our dog is always happy to see John Alex and Melissa.  To us that says it all!

"We adopted our little dog from a rescue when he was just 10 weeks old. He was a smart, sweet little puppy...easy to potty train and always a joy to be around, then at around 3 months of age, everything changed.  Our puppy was bit by on older, bigger dog, had his nose severally broken and was taken to Animerge for 3 days.  After being analyzed and prodded, he returned home a different dog.  He was fearful and aggressive. He hated anyone and anything, except for our family.  After hearing about K9 Elements' success stories, we called them. "I feel in love with Duke at first sight. He had a big head that was too large for his body and when his tail wagged his entire body wagged.  The first weekend I had him he was the best dog ever - he was energetic and fun to play with and most importantly calm. Unfortunately when I returned to work that Monday it turned out what I really had was a hyper 10 month old with severe separation anxiety. He spent the first year I had him eating every piece of furniture I had (to shreds!) , opening kitchen cabinets and eating whatever was eatable, hiding cans of cat food around the house, and any other bit of mischief he could get himself into.  Thank goodness Melissa and John Alex came into our lives. The change in Duke was evident immediately. He was IMMEDIATELY no longer being destructive, he walked politely on a leash.  He listened and followed instructions. All I had asked of Melissa and John Alex was to tire him out on his walks as much as possible. They took it upon themselves to ensure he learned some manners while walking. Today he is even off leash trained and has fantastic recall (a huge accomplishment for this highly prey motivated dog). Melissa and John Alex care for my dogs like they care for their own. The safety and well being of my animals are as important to them as they are to me. They have become am important part of our family life."

"We love K9 Elements.  We have 3 dogs, Maltese, Lab and Standard Poodle.  An example of her and her business partner's compassion and commitment to excellence is shown by the following.  One winter when our big dogs were younger, we kept them in a dog hut in our basement.  We kept the Maltese there too when traveling as we thought he would be warm enough with his down jacket and like the company.  The winter temperature became colder and so did the basement room containing the dogs.  Melissa called me to ask if she could take my Maltese home with her for the night as she was afraid he would become chilled.  I so much appreciated this extra step of kindness.  Our business schedules sometimes cause abrupt changes in our schedule.  Melissa has always helped us out on short notice.  We trust our precious dogs to Melissa and company.  They are very dependable and true professionals!"
